From the Pastor – September 2012

Since the first Christian Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit of Christ began to
be born in the hearts of those saved by God’s grace, those regenerated in
their spirit with the life of God, which gives them an assurance of
salvation, are able, by faith, to live in the very Presence of the Lord.
Jesus is the same “yesterday, today, and forever”, Hebrews 13:8 and
He said “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age” Matthew
28:20. If we really believe His words we may speak to Him as though He is
literally beside us; because He is. The disciples talked with the risen
Savior after He ascended to Heaven and returned with and in the Holy Spirit.
John 14:18, 19, 21, 23. The Lord Jesus was and is a living Presence,
invisible to the eyes but a powerful reality to the heart and mind of those
who believe His promises.
The Lord directed, corrected, and protected His followers.

Acts 9:10 -16, 10:13 – 15, 18:9 – 10.
Listen Christian, the Lord’s Spirit is in you but He also walks
beside you. He came down and became one of us so we can have fellowship with
Him person to Person. The words of the hymn are true and real for those who
will believe.

“And He walks with me,
and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own”.
