Throughout history, when God graciously visited His people in genuine
spiritual awakenings, it is clear, the supernatural Presence and power was
the one common denominator in every historic “revival”.
Why is it the leaders of today’s “evangelical, fundamental,
charismatic, Pentecostal”, (so-called Bible believers) place emphasis on
everything else under the sun?
Is it not a secular-minded dependence on our “own understanding”,
a.k.a. rationalism?
Only “spiritual leaders” infected by the accepted virulent “isms” of a
thoroughly Americanized Christianity can possible believe that the
supernatural Presence and power, in its original promised fullness, can be
replaced by endless church-growth programs, fund-raising gimmickry, consumer
model marketing, superstar-studded conventions, copy-cat entertainment,
Starbucks in the narthex, and of course the more “spiritual” new craze;
Orthodox liturgies, monastic disciplines, mystical techniques,
visualization, contemplation, constant repetition of “Christian” mantras,
prayer labyrinths, etc. ad nauseam.
God’s people, must begin living the promised supernatural life, as did
the true followers of the risen Christ, immediately following the first
Christian Pentecost.
The essence of the saint’s experience at that initial baptism in the
Spirit was not the gifts and signs, but the miracle of the actual spiritual
Presence and power of their risen Lord in them and among them.
This is simply original New Testament Christianity. Christians may know
His true Presence and power beyond any doubt. They need only desire it above
all else.
This is the key element missing in the Church today, and until its
leaders and people believe it, face it, and repent of the sin that keeps
them satisfied with anything and everything but, God’s blessing will
continue to be withheld and Satan will continue his rampage.

Historically, the return of the transforming Presence and power begins
with those who truly know the lord, are sick of spiritual mediocrity, see
through the apparent success of “Americanized Christianity”, renounce all
trust in human means to do Divine work, and know that through their
prevailing prayer for more pure-hearted intercessors who truly seek His
glory alone, God will add to their number, and as desires and lives are
cleansed, the answers will come.
When the Spirit of the living Christ again fills His churches, as in
every genuine revival, spiritual darkness will flee the light of His blessed
Presence. It is that Presence alone which comprises the supernatural
seek-and-destroy component identical to the Spirit demonstrated when the
Lord Jesus walked this earth. As no form of evil could stand before Him
then; so it will be now.
Satan cannot remain in the Presence of Pure Holy Love.

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might
destroy the works of the devil” 1 John 3:8b

“And He gave (His disciples) power and authority over all
demons.” Luke 9:1

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever”
Hebrews 13:8

This miracle work by God’s Spirit will only be done through average
individuals, willing to be prayer-warriors; filled with His purity, power
and holy love; willing to give their lives in intercession and witness.
Through the din and distractions of this mad world, God is calling His
people to share in the greatest ministry of His kingdom; to live a life in
that hidden fellowship with the One who “ever lives to make intercession”.
