From the Pastor – May 2013

When an individual hears the message of God’s love through the redemptive
work of Jesus on the cross there are only two possible responses. One is to
yield to a feeling of being drawn to pray and seek the Lord. The second is
to resist and seek reasons not to surrender to the salvation and Lordship of
the blessed Saviour.

Someone wisely wrote:
“For those who are willing to believe (trust), no proof is
necessary.

For those who refuse, no proof is possible.”

Child of God, do you realize the privilege of having been drawn to Christ?
Eternal salvation is the gift bestowed by the Father to those who simply
quit resisting and obey the Gospel by calling on Jesus to forgive and
cleanse their life.

This is a time of great worldly light and thick spiritual darkness. The
obviousness of dead-while-they-live souls all around us should first, show
us the truth of the miracle God has performed in our unworthy hearts, and
second, give us a powerful desire to live for His glory, and cry to Him for
a mighty move of His Holy Spirit to open blind eyes and deaf ears to His
message of love.

Father give us a spiritual springtime!

From the Pastor – April 2013

The word of God is clear, God has His seasons. This is true of our lives as
well as in His glorious creation.

Most people love springtime; allergies notwithstanding. The whole
process of new life in the flowers, grass and leaves of the trees. The new
warmth of the sun, the anticipation of the joys of summer, are tokens of
hope for pleasant times.

Of course for us, who know the year-round warmth of God’s love in
our hearts, springtime reminds us of the new life God offers those around us
whose lives are lived in a perpetual spiritual winter having yet to know the
light of God’s love.

This is a time when the Lord of the harvest is calling for us to be
mighty in prayer for a fresh new life-giving visitation of His Spirit as He
has moved miraculously in years past. God works through the prayers of His
people. This is the true meaning of His giving us dominion over His
creation. The Bible is a history of God working through the intercession of
His faithful and obedient ones to bring salvation and deliverance.

O Father, give us a burst of new life, a spiritual
springtime in our lost loved ones and friends, for Your glory and Jesus’
sake.
